Bridging The Gap: Documentary Workshop

XpoNorth has been working with the Scottish Documentary Institute in developing new documentary talent across the Highlands and Islands. In early September they are hosting a workshop, open to filmmakers at any level, to help them prepare for submissions to Bridging The Gap – one of UK’s flagship short creative documentary schemes for new talent.

Every year, this scheme provides training and mentorship as well as commissioning opportunities and an £8K budget to get your film made.

The workshop will explain the aims of the scheme, will provide tips on how to improve your chances of being selected and will offer you a chance to pitch your short documentary idea informally and receive feedback.

This workshop is made possible through a collaboration of the Scottish Documentary Institute, ScreenHI (XpoNorth's Screen and Broadcast Network), and Eden Court Theatre.
