Honeycomb - Creative Works Programme

We have a programme of events throughout September designed for you and completely FREE to attend. We're talking animators, designers, band managers, musicians, filmmakers, tour managers, producers, writers, games developers and programmers to name but a few. Reserve your place or register interest now via the links under each event, priority given to those from within the catchment area.

December Programme of Events

In the Highlands of Scotland Honeycomb is being rolled out in Lochaber, Skye and Lochalsh, Argyll and Bute. The Honeycomb application process is now open to anyone in the Highlands and Islands so all the events listed below are available to businesses resident in the Highlands and Islands. We are offering financial assistance for travel and accommodation. Contact us for more information about eligibility in advance of attending the session. Honeycomb is also being delivered in Arran and Cumbrae, North Ayrshire mainland, East Ayrshire, South Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway, the six southern border counties of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

6th December, McCaig Suite, Corran Halls, Oban, 10am - 6pm
RADIO SKILLS WORKSHOP

In this workshop we’ll cover local news gathering, presenting skills and creating community content. We’ll delve into the key areas to consider in reporting news, discuss matters of impartiality and analyse techniques for presenting.  

It’s an interactive session focused on creating content and developing ideas for local listeners.

MUSIC PLACEMENT ACROSS VISUAL MEDIA
Speaker:  Mark Allen, ThinkSync

Come and join us in what will be an insightful session with Mark Allen from ThinkSync Music Mark  will lead a workshop looking at how this area of the industry works and offer a practical insight into music placement across film, TV, advertising and games. Mark will also be joined by musician Joe McAlinden to look at music placement from a composer’s perspective.
