Glasgow Film and See Me Scotland are funding 4 short documentaries that tell the stories of people with experience of mental health conditions in an innovative, exciting and engaging way.

Each project receives £2,000 to produce the film that will be premiered at Scottish Mental Health Film Festival in October.

The teams making the film including the subjects of the projects also take part in a 2-day training workshop on 3rd and 4th June.

They are seeking stories that challenge perceptions and tackle mental health stigma with a unique voice from across Scotland. The subjects of the films can be about the personal journey of someone directly impacted by mental health conditions, the friends and family of those around them or groups coming together to do something unusual, exciting or empowering.

The fund is open to Scotland based filmmakers with Scotland based subjects. They are interested in receiving applications from filmmakers be they established, new talent or recent/current students but also interested in receiving applications from people with experience of mental health conditions who may have never made a film before.

Applications close Friday 13th May 2016 at 5pm. To find out more about the fund and how to apply visit the Glasgow Film website.
