Roisin first came into contact with ScreenHI when she volunteered at our annual creative industries festival goNORTH in 2012. She showed an understanding for the business need, creative flare in her photography and delivering to a brief. Having just recently finished secondary school she is gathering as much experience as possible in the media industry to further her aspirations in broadcasting. Roisin went on to spend August 2012 in Edinburgh working with ScreenHI partners, Dabster Productions on their portfolio of podcast commissions at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, which included the E4 Udderbelly Podcalf, Amnesty International, BBC and the Cultural Olympiad. Through this intensive training role, she got a taste of researching and producing content for radio, which is something she is very interested in.
She also photographed the live shows recorded for the E4 Udderbelly Podcast. She has previously taken photographs at festivals, such as the goNORTH in June for ScreenHI, Rockness 2011 for the Inverness Courier as well as other events including a Health Conference for CIFAL Scotland. She is very interested in film/television after making shorts films for herself and working with John Martin at Rockness in 2012. She is expanding her knowledge of the media industry and is especially interested in radio, television and magazine editing and writing.
