About

Roddy was a former Depute Headteacher of The Nicolson Institute, Stornoway who moved into video production in 2008.  Roddy attended the ScreenHI two-week radio producers training course with Dabster Productions in June 2012, co-producing three one-hour programmes for Radio GoNorth In January 2012 he produced a short film on adult literacy for a BBC Scotland Learning commission that ScreenHI had gained.

Roddy has received two Vision Awards for Am Bonn (The Medal) and Saoghal Plastaig Ghordain (Gordon’s World of Plastic)  Apart from producing videos, he has been a regular contributor to a number of Gaelic radio and television programmes and has been a researcher/writer at BBC Radio nan Gàidheal Stornoway for a short time He also does voice-over and sound recording work for Stòrlann, the Gaelic Resource Centre.
