About

A freelance editor and filmmaker, Gavin studied TV production at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig 2010/2011 before working with Mactv in Stornoway The Gaelic Media Course included all aspects of television production, he particularly enjoyed editing and decided to continue in post-production after graduation He wrote, directed and edited four shorts over 2010 and 2011, which were entered into the FilmG competition. They were nominated for Best Drama both years He also did camera and lighting on another short Obair La, which won several FilmG awards 2011, including Best Student Drama.

In 2010 Gavin was selected to write a 10 minute radio play in Gaelic with the HI Wireless scheme, which was professionally produced and broadcast online While at Mactv he was in charge of post-production for reversioning of a series of international documentaries, and edited (both on-line and off-line) an hour long documentary which was broadcast on BBC Alba In 2012 he edited a 20 min drama short with Rural Nations Productions Gavin has also directed and performed in an amateur theatre production, which was staged at a top Brussels theatre and recently directed a Gaelic language play He can work in English, Gaelic, Spanish or Portuguese.
