BBC Scotland Radio Drama
As we know the BBC is one of the biggest broadcasters in the industry and for BBC Radio each week, nearly 35 million people tune in to music, drama, news and sport, local programming and comedy. They broadcast in the UK on analogue (AM, FM & LW), DAB Digital Radio, digital television (DTV) and online. There is no separate radio licence. The licence fee provides for 8 interactive TV channels, 10 radio networks, more than 50 local TV and radio services; and the services available online via bbc.co.uk.
ScreenHI has a number of contacts in BBC Scotland and during goNORTH in 2011, BBC Radio Drama Producer, Kirsteen Cameron ran a Writing For Radio Drama workshop. This session was aimed at emerging and established writers aspiring to get their work commissioned for radio.
