Dabster Productions has been making innovative and engaging radio and podcast content for a wide range of people since January 2006. They have studios in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London and have produced a number of shows in New York. Company founder Richard Melvin started his career in broadcasting almost exactly 10 years ago as a volunteer at Radio Forth in Edinburgh. He quickly moved on to the achingly trendy Beat 106 in Glasgow before accepting a position as a production trainee at BBC Radio Scotland.
Dabster Productions was established in 2006 and since then, Richard has produced over 300 hours of radio for the BBC and has produced and devised podcasts that have collectively achieved more than 5 million downloads. Recently, Richard followed Amy Macdonald’s European arena tour for a documentary on BBC Radio Scotland.
