Tuesday 1st January 2013 at 8.05pm on BBC ALBA (repeating Sunday 6th January at 8.30pm)

ScreenHI and Media Co-op joined forces earlier on this year to support a training role for an Assistant Editor on this incredibly insightful and gripping documentary. 

'Media co-op is enormously grateful to ScreenHI for funding the 6 month traineeship for the Highlands-based Assistant Editor on our first BBC ALBA commission,' says Lucinda Broadbent of Media Co-op 'Catherine Weir was selected from 17 candidates from across the Highlands and Islands who applied for the traineeship. It was a tough decision, but Catherine's commitment to the art of editing, her enthusiasm for documentary, her impressive track-record and her knowledge of Gaelic combined to make her our top choice.'

Lucinda goes on to say 'She has been an invaluable member of the team, and a real pleasure to work with. Catherine has so thoroughly proved her worth during her traineeship that Media Co-op has already offered her more work on a different project next year.'

It was an ambitious film, co-produced with Canada with forthcoming feature length version supported by Creative Scotland It is an epic, feel good story of modern rebellion In their campaign against the tolls on the Skye bridge, plucky Scottish islanders took on the might of the government and the Bank of America - and won!
