Bridging the Gap: Inspiration Workshops for Filmmakers

The Scottish Documentary Institute and ScreenHi are in hosting two workshops to help filmmakers prepare submissions to Bridging the Gap, Scotland’s flagship short documentary film scheme for new talent, now accepting entries until 4th October 2015.

Every year, the initiative provides training and mentorship as well as an £8k budget to get your film made The workshops will explain the aims of the scheme, provide tips on how to improve your chances of being selected, and also offer you the chance to informally pitch your short documentary idea and receive feedback Workshops will take place on:

  • Saturday 5th September, Mareel, Lerwick, Shetland, 10:00 to 12:00, and
  • Tuesday 8th September, Eden Court, Inverness, 16:00 to 18:00
