How it went at Hit The Ground Running...

What a weekend was had by all at Kingussie! ScreenHI hosted a training course called Hit The Ground Running, which looked into the role of the Runner and just what it takes to be a good Runner in the film and TV industry Radio Scotland did a piece on the festival in their Good Morning Scotland show on Saturday and interviewed some of the trainees.
Our trainees spent Friday learning about the key skills needed and the duties carried out by the runner as well as understanding other roles within production and on set They were also set a challenge that took them around the village and festival and later they had the opportunity to learn from invited industry professionals in a Q&A session In the evening The Network at the Media Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival (MGEITF) gave a presentation and talk about their programme and how to apply,
It didn't stop there, the 11 enthusiastic, friendly and inspired trainees worked at the Food on Film festival on Saturday putting their new found skills to the test Festival Director, Helen Graham was impressed with their attidude, "I thought the runners were all fantastic, we couldn't have done it without them Everyone in the Food Hall and others involved with the festival mentioned how friendly, attentive and willing they were."
They worked hard and gave 100% and that's just about as much as we can ask Well done to everyone! Here's some photos from the weekend
