An amateur street photographer throughout her life working as a nanny in Chicago, her work was largely unknown and undeveloped until a local historian, John Maloof, discovered her work being auctioned off due to non payment of rent in 2007.   An amazing collection of 100,000 odd pictures of the world as she saw it on the streets around her, mainly in Chicago and New York
