About
Breege first came onto the ScreenHI radar in 2009 when she attended some of the FilmG workshops before, making her short Benny. Since then she has been working away on her industry skills, and more recently she successfully applied for a place on the Radio goNORTH Content Producer training course and completed the 2 week intensive, on the job training She was one of 12 trainees who had the task of running a radio station for three days during the festival with the support and expert guidance from ScreenHI partners Dabster Productions After that Breege applied for the Edinburgh Comedy Festival Content Producer (paid) role with Dabster Productions, producing content and working with the team on the E4 Udderbelly Podcalf. 18 shows in total recorded throughout the festival available on itunes This experience has given her a good grounding in content production, script preparation and podcast structure.
In 2008 Breege changed career, she attended a full time course and acquired City & Guilds qualifications in Broadcast Journalism Her main areas of interest are to produce programmes about human-interest stories and she hase produced documentaries for Irish Commercial and Community radio and supplied packages for Oban FM in Argyll In 2011 she made a short for FilmG and received a Visions Award for her film Benny Breege aspires to write and record a play for radio and has started on political sitcom.
