Short Film Competition
ScreenHI Director, Amanda Millen has supported FilmG since it started in 2008 delivering workshops and training, judging entries and showcasing the films to wider audience beyond the competition.
FilmG is established as one of the country’s best platforms for getting Gaelic language films and talent showcased FilmG is an annual Gaelic short film competition, in search of new talent Entry requirements stipulate that the film must be in Scottish Gaelic, between 3-5 minutes in length Keep a look out on their website for the release of 2013 competition details.
There are two separate competitions: one for adults over 18, and one for 12-17 year-olds They run film-making workshops for schools in the lead up to the competition deadline and each year FilmG has a theme, which can be used as a starting point, although by no means a rule to follow In 2012 it was ‘Air an Stairsich’ which means ‘On the Threshold’.
