ScreenHI has been delighted work with the Scottish Documentary Institute's Bridging The Gap scheme for a number of years This scheme is one of the leading documentary new talent initiatives for cinema and broadcast in the UK, consistently picking up awards, BAFTA’s, special mentions and festival screenings in over 40 countries worldwide This scheme offers a creative training programme alongside production and aims to bridge the gap between training/graduation and a first broadcast.
The following filmmakers from the Highlands and Islands have either successfully gone through the Bridging the Gap scheme or the Docscene project run by SDI:
- End of the Road by John Martin
- Submarine Man by Dave Hammond
- The Worm Inside by Sam Firth
- Sporran Makers by Jane MacAllister
