Moray College UHI, ScreenHI, and Elgin-based games publisher Hunted Cow Studios, collaborate for the third year in a row to present Moray Game Jam 2016 for 48 hours from Friday 18th - Sunday 20th March 2016.
This year the event is also delighted to welcome support from Business Gateway Moray who will be providing expert business start-up support to develop game ideas into a viable business proposition.
The Jam is looking for people and teams who want to create video or board games. Teams are up to five people and all members should be 16 or over. There will be a ‘matching service’ for solo entrants.
The video game winner will once again be mentored by Elgin-based games publisher Hunted Cow Studios. California-based Victory Point Games will provide remote support to the board game winner.
The judges are games industry professionals and will be around all weekend to witness the progress and offer advice. A keynote speaker will be opening the event on Friday 18th March.
Applications open on Friday 22nd January 2016 and close Wednesday 9th March 2016, and is open to students and professionals across Scotland.
There will also be free workshops led by industry professionals on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th March, open to Moray Game Jam competitors and members of the public. Young people aged 12 or under should be accompanied to the workshops by an adult.

- Digital sculpting
- Blender – 3D modelling
- Hands on Unity
- Art concepts
- Story-telling for games
