UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) present a free webinar on How to Make the Most of Berlinale & the EFM
Charlie Bloye, Film Export UK, who organises the UK FILM Centre at the EFM, will talk about the importance of Berlin in the sales calendar, the function of the umbrella stand and give tips on how to target, research and secure meetings with the right people.
Oliver Hagedorn, General Manager Edel:Motion, will talk about Berlinale and the EFM from an international buyer perspective. What are the do’s and don’ts, how to best prepare and pitch and what are the specifics of the German market.
Sol Papadopoulos, Producer, Hurricane Films, will talk about both the genesis, and launch of films at a festival such as Berlinale. From building early relationships with the international market, guiding and positioning a film for finance, through to a festival premiere and re-positioning the film all over again for an international audience.
Miriam Ducke, Senior Trade Advisor Creative Industries, UKTI Germany, will provide a snapshot of the German film market 2014/2015, developments, trends and key characteristics of the German film funding system.
