Got a great business idea, a fantastic idea for a new product, or wanting to reach new audiences, but finding access to support and finance difficult?  You are certainly not alone Whilst no-one can guarantee success, this panel session will present a few of the opportunities for help that might be open to you, and also present how to approach some of the other options that you might be able to consider.   After some short presentations, the session will be thrown open for a wider discussion of the issues affecting you and many other creative people.

  • Damian Baetens: Transmit Start Ups talking about how they fund and mentor creative businesses throughout the UK
  • Jeni Oliver, Senior Development Manager Creative Industries, Scottish Development International: Will look at potential support for Creative Industries from HIE and SDI.
  • John MacKenzie, Senior Development Manager - Innovation, Highlands and Islands Enterprise John is in charge of a new range of innovation and R&D grants available from HIE, that may be useful to Creative Businesses.
